Garlic Parmesan Mashed Potatoes

These mashed potatoes beat any mashed potato recipe out there, I guarantee it!

5 Red Potatoes
Garlic Cloves 2 Cloves
1/2 cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese (use less for lower fat)
Non Fat Milk or Heavy Whipping Cream (start with a small amount and increase as you whip or mix them)
2 TBSP Butter
Chopped Green Onions
Salt & Pepper

You’ll follow the traditional recipe for making mashed potatoes:  Cut the Red Potatoes into quarters, leaving the skin on them.  Be sure to wash them first.  Boil for about 20-25 minutes or until soft with a fork.  Drain the water and rinse them.

The secret to great mashed potatoes is to start with a small amount of Milk or Whipping Cream and Butter, adding more as you mix; until you find the right consistency for fluffy mashed potatoes.  Add the Garlic, Cheese and Green Onions, Salt & Pepper, as you mix.

The only way you can mess this recipe up is by adding too much milk or heavy whipping cream and butter; well, and salt and pepper of course; so it’s always recommended to taste test and add the ingredients slowly.

You don’t even need a gravy with these potatoes, they are that good.
